Molecular Engineering Group (MEG)

"How do we imitate Nature?"

MEG is working on development of specific organic molecules and supramolecular systems that are able to perform advanced functions and processes, such as photosynthesis, signal detection, enzymatic catalysis, or intelligent medication.

The activities of the group cover the areas of design, theoretical modeling, and synthesis to analysis and characterization. The systems are often larger than "classical" organic molecules and are characterized by well-defined spatial arrangement of specific functionalities.
