CCAR - Copenhagen Centrum for Atmospheric Research - Nielsen Group

CCAR seeks to answer a number of questions within atmospheric research. Among these are: Why are perfluorinated acids found in Polar Regions? How can we make more climate friendly chemicals.

CCAR has patented a new photochemical air purification process suitable for industrial polluters.

CCAR investigates the purification of indoor air as well as pollution mitigation from various production processes. The CCAR team collaborates across disciplinary boundaries. The vision of the group is to combine quantum mechanical computation with laboratory measurements

In collaboration with INFUSER A/S CCAR has established AIRlab UCPH as a semiautonomous research entity. Click to read more about Atmospheric Infuser Research laboratory.

Research

We investigate chemical/physical processes. We use the lab and/or the field and/or modeling to provide a better understanding of atmospheric processes and composition. This will lead to better quantification of environmental impact. It may not lead to a better environment – that’s politics.
