They joined CHEAC in 2020

Employments

It was a rough start for CHEAC when the university closed down in the middle of March 2020 due to the corona-virus. In spite of that, we were able to recruit a lot of highly qualified people last year.

April 1st 2020, Alexander Bagger was the first new CHEAC employee when he started as a postdoc in Theory group. Alexander finished his Ph.D. from UCPH in May 2019 and worked at IBM as a Data Scientist before returning to UCPH.
Theory group was expanded in the fall, as Henrik Kristoffersen joined as a postdoc. He came from a similar position at DTU. And Spyridon Divanis was employed as a postdoc after his Ph.D. defense at UCPH.
Christian M. Clausen and Christoffer Hammer S Møller both began their Ph.D. studies in the fall, after obtaining their Master's degree from UCPH, and finally, Frederik C. Østergaard joined as Research Assistant in November. He is also a Master's graduate from UCPH.

In Characterization group, we welcomed Tobias M. Nielsen as a Ph.D. student under the Integrated MSc and Ph.D. Scheme from September 2020.

During the summer we welcomed 3 people to Electro Catalysis group; Gary Harlow and Anders W. Jensen as postdocs, and Elena Plaza as a Research Assistant.
Gary came from a position at Lund University; Anders finished his Ph.D. from UCPH in October, and Elena got her Master's degree from UCPH in the summer prior to joining CHEAC.

A new year has begun and the latest addition to CHEAC was on January 1st, 2021 when we were joined by Rebecca Pittkowski as a postdoc. Rebecca will work in Switzerland at co-PI and professor Matthias Arenz's lab at Bern University in Synthesis group. Rebecca will join the Copenhagen based part of CHEAC in the summer of 2021.

Welcome to all. We hope for a fun and productive 2021!
